Digital prototyping of the product via projection mapping makes it possible to visualize many patterns quickly. Further mapping provides a perfectly realistic impression.
The Office Chair (Kinnarps) was part of a special exhibition at the Heinze Architecture 2014 conference in Duisburg. The idea behind the Office Chair is the 3D mapping on the product, i.e., the change in the surface and structure of an office chair using projection. The aim is to change typical building products in their color and texture and to create something new. In this context, I developed the concept for the chair and designed a projection mapping. The mapping represents six different animations. An animation shows opposing polarities. Within 60 seconds, an amorphous change in the surface occurs in each animation.
